We at River Colors Studio delight in getting to know you and your projects!   As you are touring, please introduce yourself and we will make sure you see all of the 2025 Yarn Discovery Tour projects and giveaways.  Look for one of the staff below on the day you visit; we love to chat crafts and creativity. You can see the collection of the Biches & Buches Yarns, CaMa Rose and Spindrift yarns on the wall behind them. We also carry De Rerum Natura, Peace Fleece, The Fibre Co., KoKomo, Lopi and Noro yarns in case you are looking for some other wonderful wools. Whether you want to do color work, add some fluffiness or just work with lovely yarns, these are some great brand choices.

Just turn a little to the left from this area and you will see eye candy (otherwise known in the studio as hand dyed yarns). Our amazing selection of hand dyed fingering weight yarns include, Emma's  Yarn, Madelinetosh, Malabrigo and Hedgehog Fibers. Add some mini skeins and you will be able to paint with yarn all day.

Check out our button selection to make sure you have just the right buttons when you need them. Whimsical, ethnic or stylish you will definitely find what you need(or want).

If you love to carry eco-friendly bags and organize your life with fun prints you have to check out our Baggu collection. So affordable and so spunky.

Meet  our wall of non-wool! Sometimes you just want to use a plant- based fiber or non-wool blend and we have you covered.  Dan Doh Yarns include cotton, linen and silk and are a customer favorite.  Yumiko Alexander (designer and owner) inspires us all by sending us new samples on a monthly rotation. That wonderful Fuchsia pink design by Yumiko is called Agave.

Pick up some RikRack or Cozyblue embroidery kits to craft on the go.
Perhaps some roving to create you own yarn?

We look forward to sharing our Yarn Discovery Tour 2025 shop patterns with you.   Our 2024 Twice as Nice Cardigan designed by Barb Stupp and made in Noro yarns, continues to be a shop favorite.  You can make it as an over sized, cozy cover up or fitted fun garment. Our Noro collection includes wools and blends that include silk and cotton.

We are located in Lakewood, just over the Rocky River bridge.  While visiting make sure you stop and visit our neighbors at BlackBird Baking Company.  They offer coffee, pastry, artisan breads and so much more.

We also suggest some wonderful down time at either Bradstreet Landing or the Lakewood Solstice Steps.  Both locations offer idyllic and eye catching views of Lake Erie.

The parking lot on the Matthews side of the store brings you in through our garden entrance.  We try to keep the outside as colorful as the inside.
